Hey everyone:Am looking for info on places to stay in Belize. Would you recommend an all-inclusive or not??? We are looking for beautiful beaches, great diving spots, and a little bit of partying. Thanks for whatever info you’ve got.

Hi I think there is only 2 all-inclusives available. We stayed with friends at their time share – the Costa Maya Reef Resort. It was good but not great – furthest resort from San Pedro. only one restaurant, & no free transfers to town(by boat only) The positives were that the snorkelling is amazing!!!, wonderful people, great weather, english is spoken by almost everyone, great tours to take (mayan ruins, zoo, swim with sharks etc.), other cayes to visit…I could go on & on.Have you tried Ambergriscaye.com They have a very informative message board. ![]() |

Hi Sandydee – my cousin has a fly fishing thing in Belize that is very environmentally friendly – they throw the fish back in! They have several boats and there’s lots of snorkelling for anyone who isn’t into fishing. He has a web site – www.belizeflatsfishing.com You might want to check them out. It looks just wonderful – beautiful ocean side cottages and then you head out onto the boats for the day. They have one boat that’s for millionaires with mahogany this and that. But there’s lots for average travellers too and it’s not commercial.

Try the web site for Jaguar Reef Resort. They offer a pkg that is as close to all inclusive as you can get. |

Hello SalseraI checked out the Jaguar Reef Resort on the website but it does not say a lot about the flights.Did you book the holiday flight included or did you book the resort separate?.The resort looks amazing and has some nice features/options.

Hey Freedom Ryder,
I initially was looking at AI, but most packages weren’t actually AI – just included flight and hotel, meals and drinks extra. I eventually decided to arrange it on my own as it was significantly cheaper and more flexible. I leave in 10 days! The trip has been fairly easy to organize. i’ll post a note when i return. My itinerary is posted on another post. |

San Pedro has the most resorts – Mata Chica and Victoria house are great resorts there. If you want something a little more laid back and less expensive try Caye Caulker.
I believe the best beaches are found in Placencia though…. very laid back there…. |

Can anyone tell me what they thought of the Jaguar Reef Resort? Looking to go there this spring. It sounds great but do not want to go and find out there isn’t any thing else near by to do. 1st time they are letting ME plan our vacation. 3couples going. |
