Another successful Dubois Charitable Foundation Pack today | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

well I do not mind sharing her name. She is my mother-in-law, Sammy that passed away a year ago. She and the family all know how much we love Cuba and the Cuban people. On her passing 80% of her remarkable wardrobe we packed up, 50% of her kitchenwares, her walkers (she was 91) and her sewing machines were sent in container 73 & 74. She was a self-taught seamstress that gave much joy to our community so to have these machines, (old but reliably) enroute to another community would give her much joy.

Sorry for your loss. It’s nice to put a story to a photo. My mom is 85 and does sewing in her home; lots of visitors to keep her company. My mom went to Cuba for her one trip three years ago for her grand daughter’s wedding. It was a good time, and she’d like to go back. Sounds like you have lots of good memories of your mother-in-law.

I would like to thank Canuks for letting a lot of our fans who can’t make a packing know how things wentand a description of what went on the container. I know a lot of people are interested because they have pm me in the past. I will identify myself I am standing on the truck bumper with a cup of coffee. Sorry it is not the best picture of me, but I had been out in the rain most of the morning. I don’t expect anyone else to identify themselves but since I have been identified both by my handle and my real nameYou might as well know what I look like."added by Canuks"

you " down Easters " be sure to wave as it leaves.

If the container gets to Halifax by Sept. 29 there is a ship (Jan S) departing on October 2 to Mariel.     I am assuming that you are bringing it to Taranna to rail it to Hali.
We could arrange a send-off … that ship will be departing from the “Ocean Terminal” close to Point Pleasant Park. Santiago would love it!

Seems I was mistaken , it’s now on the train to Montreal and then on the MSC Nora to Mariel Port Cuba. Perhaps our contingent from the La Belle can give it a send off ! lol

I live next to the St-Lawrence Seaway on Montreal’s South Shore, we see ships pass by all the time, I’ll be on the lookout for the MSC Nora!

The good ship MSC Nora arrived in Montreal last night and is scheduled to depart later tonight. Ship will be checked for stowaways along the route! Arghhhh matey.(Blessed are they who go down to the sea in ships. Psalm 107.23)
just wondering, isn’t it just ‘Arhhh matey’ ? "Arrr! – This one is often confused with arrrgh, which is of course the sound you make when you sit on a belaying pin. "Arrr!" can mean, variously, "yes," "I agree," "I’m happy," "I’m enjoying this beer," "My team is going to win it all," "I saw that television show, it sucked!" and "That was a clever remark you or I just made." And those are just a few of the myriad possibilities of Arrr! "
The " old guy " behind the Smurf to the right is Lenny , but that is no secret. lol
Lenny Lenny, are you the one with the green shirt? Is so, nice to meet you!

Boy was I looking in the worng direction! Sorry Lenny!
