| It’s been over a year since anyone has posted in the forum! I’m planning a trip to Belize March 9-18 (9 days total) – travelling with a friend.Here’s the plan for our itinerary (just a guideline – will change as we go i’m sure).
We arrive in Belize City March 9 at 4:30 and will try to make a rapid exit from the airport and head straight to the watertaxi terminal (http://www.cayecaulkerwatertaxi.com) where we hope to catch the last taxi of the night to Caye Caulker (leaving at 5:30). www.gocayecaulker.com In Caye Caulker we have made reservations at "De Real Macaw" for 4 nights. www.derealmacaw.biz/main/info.htm From Caye Caulker we are hoping to arrange tours locally. We then have a reservation for a 3 day/2 night sailing tour that takes us from Caye Caulker to the town of Placencia with a company called Raggamuffin tours. The tour will be "roughing it" a bit where we sleep on tents on the beach etc. Hopefully there will be no creepy crawlers to ruin the fun. www.sailingadventuresbelize.com/product.htm The last 3 days will be spent in the town of Placencia (www.placencia.com). We haven’t been able to book any accomodations here but there seem to be lots of hotels so hopefully we’ll find something decent when we get there. On our last day we’ll talk a little local plane back to Belize City just in time to catch our flight home. www.tropicair.com/ I’d love to hear any comments/advice on the above itinerary. We’ve done most of the planning with the help of the internet and guidebooks (lonely planet and moon guides). Would love to get some advice from someone who’s been there. |

| We were in Belize in May ’04 & had a fantastic time! Your trip sounds like fun…definately different than ours. We stayed on Ambergris Caye for 2 weeks at the Costa Maya Reef resort ( a friend’s time share). We did go to Caye Caulker for a day, it seems more relaxed than Ambergris. We mostly hung out at the cut swimming, but watch out for the drink specials…they’re deadly!!!We also did a couple tours to the mainland. The Belize zoo was fantastic!!! You can stay overnight & do a nocturnal tour, & where else in the world will you see cotimundi, jaguars, & a fluffy white bunny! (read the comments in the guest book )We also did cave tubing (a nice way to spend an afternoon) & Lamanai(fascinating).

We just came back from Cuba and on the plane saw an ad for Belize and are looking into going next year maybe. Looking forward to hearing all about your trip. Looks like a great itinerary for sure |

| Hello TussYour trip sounds like quite the adventure.Have an awesome time and please make sure you let us know how the whole trip went.Wossa and I will be keeping an eye out for your post when you return.We can then make some decisions as to where we want to spend our next vacation.As you know we are also looking to do some quality Scuba Diving while we are in Belize.
