we booked a jr suite and requested a ground floor, Jake is getting a penthouse suite. so we will get to enjoy the rooftop as well. I wish the map on the Bahia site showed the rooms numbers so we could put in a request. I know there is one section that is further away from the lobby, bars and buffet area etc. I think we would prefer to be on the same side as Lobby. Did you have a ground floor room on both visits?
we have been 3 times and stayed in all 3 types, the penthouse being our favourite. Building 4 is also top on my list, right next to the quiet pool, 24 hour snacks about 4 minute walk and lobby about the same . Far enough from everything so there is no noise and close enough that if its raining you don’t get soaked going for supper.
even though the green fees are included, we see the price for the mandatory golf cart is $90 per person which is a lot more than the last trip to Bahia, has anyone been getting any 2 for 1 deals or other discounts?

FREE (green fees & others) seems to cost more & more these days. I am working on booking a rental car for Mexico. $7./day and another $35./day for proper insurance. Been reading about a lot of people getting charged for damage they did not do if they don’t have zero deductible. Even people being hassled into buying extra insurance even though they already bought full coverage when booking on the internet.
Floyd, maybe if enough people refused to golf, they would bring the price down to something reasonable. Drinking is a much better sport than golf.
Just booked to go to sian kaan in January lots of questions. Is there a beach bar on the sian beach that serves food or do you go to the other beach bars. Travel from the rooms to other areas of the resort, how far. Do you have a resort layout for the whole complex. And the questions just piling up any help would be appreciated as this is first trip to mexico

Sian Kaan I visited last year for a new year and it was amazing resort. Service is unbelievable, food was excellent and beach very nice. I would return to a Sian Kaan any moment. Actually I would live there forever!

It just keeps sounding "gooder" all the time…..come on April…..why are you hiding from us? Flood & the Missus, we’re going to have a great time and the birds we are going to see…..OMG, can’t wait…..

This was our 4th time to Sian Kaan and it is still amazing. Try to email the resort 2 weeks before you go with any requests, we like building 4, it is close to the lobby but not too close and right beside the quiet pool. Here is Claudia’s email [email protected] Order the ribs at the Sian Kaan snack bar better than the other side of the highway, in fact ALL the food and drinks are way better . Its worth the trip back from the beach for lunch. Have fun
Did someone say …. "RIBS"…..Jake will be all over those suckers, especially if they are "gooder" than the ones I have had while staying in the Tulum section…..now I am getting more excited than ever….!
It is worth the trip back to Sian Kaan for lunch after a morning at the beach…the food is that much better
Sian Kaan is worth for everything No really food and service and hotel first class no words!

You will love it!! Mayas know that there is something about that area that is why they build pyramids etc in that area. I love Mayan Riviera and GBP Sian Kaan is amazing!!

Looking out the window at the fresh fallen snow makes the time drag on SO LONG……come on April 13th.
