Check in/out: efficient and professional Room: clean, comfortable, no bugs, no musty smell, typical firm bed, water pressure good and always hot water, sufficient English channels, fantastic view of ocean and sunset, had corner room so no balcony but other rooms did have a small balcony, decor is dated but weren’t expecting 5 stars- old 4 for cleanliness and basic amenities were good. Beach: had to lay towels out before 9am to get lounger, sand nice, water mostly rough- good for body surfing & boogie boarding, not good for snorkeling, wait staff on beach was a nice service to offer but very inconsistent service- quicker to walk up to bar for a drink, felt beach waiter only focused on guest who tipped and we tipped each time but obviously $2 tip for a bottled water wasn’t good enough, beach vendors were around but not as much as pv and Mayan- no gracias was good enough and they moved on. Food: great variety and tasty, never got sick, breafKfast omelette delicious! Service was very good. Loved ixtapa! It’s so far our favorite winter destination! Quaint, safe, nightlife, enough shopping but not commercialized- people were friendly and warm.
