Stayed at Cat Royal Bavaro three times and enjoyed it. I see a new Cat Royal is in La Romana. I can find very little information on it. Is the new one as laid back as the Bavaro? Is it more upscale? Restaurants?
The older one permitted topless sun bathing as noted on the Catalonia company’s official blog but the new one is not listed. (It is an older post.). Does this apply to this new AO resort?
How far and a pain is it to get from the PC airport to La Romana?
Going to a newly built resort is intriguing, but I don’t want to do it if the atmosphere is too party, getting there stinks, and my accustomed Dominican time on the beach gets more conservative or worse gawky.
Any insight would be appreciated.
