I’ve had the pleasure of dining here a couple of times now and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. The decor is not pretentious and tastefully done in this French restaurant, the atmosphere is light, casual and relaxed and all would feel comfortable dining here no matter if you live there or are a tourist looking for something different off the resort. The location is easy to get to being as it is located in Cortecito in the Confresi area, parking availble too right out front. Seating for 2, 4 or even groups can be accommodated here along with celebrating your special occasions. There is even a comfy lounging area if you just want drinks and/or snacks instead of a meal, with the bar serving top alcohol at very reasonable prices.
The staff are very courteous and attentive before, during and after your meal. Didn’t have to wait for than a minute for the chef to offer assistance with the menu and to point out their specials, drinks were brought out promptly and the meals delivered in a very timely manner considering that everything is cooked to order and freshly prepaared. The first visit I had the chicken, beef combo with fries, very yummy. The second visit I had the Crevettes with Coco Sauce, these were NOT prepared from a package but were freshly prepared in a sinful coconut wine sauce, OMG super delicious. My partner had the Churrasco (as usual) and it too was reported to be cooked perfectly, delicious and tender. The chef and/or owner will give you all the details of the meal preparation and the exact ingredients if you are interested. The prices are very reasonable here especially considering the quality of the food and the above average service. Looking forward to my next visit to Chez Mon Ami, I heard they were doing some renovations, not that there was anything wrong with it before but will be excited to see the new place.
