Dancing on cruises | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

My husband and I are avid ballroom dancers. Is anybody aware of cruises which have ballroom dancing as an activity, or a particularly large/good dance floor and live music?

Hi! Florita, I have taken 7 cruises with both Princess, Royal Carib., & Carnival and did not have any ballroom dancing on any of them. I too love ballroom dancing. The only one closest to ball room was my first cruise on Princess in 1992 where there was a band played international music and people danced. I know most of the cruises do offer this as well but it is not strictly for ballroom. It would be a mixture of dances. Your best bet it to contact the cruise lines and ask them which ship would offer ballroom dancing. Sometimes a ship is chartered out for a specific theam.

Hmmm…we may need to start bombarding the travel agents and cruise lines with questions about ballroom dancing and hope they take the hint. I forsee a "Dancing With The Stars" cruise! They always say that the people who become millionaires saw a need and filled it.

Ballroom dance is really a very good exercise also….You can enjoy a lot with the ball room dance…it is totally full of fun….!
