I have been notified that people cannot respond to this thread on the forums. So I am posting to see if there is some kind of lock on it.
My post was accepted.

There are great pics and maps etc., question is where and who took them all?

There’s a sticky lock on the thread. I’m not sure why. Moderators and admin can post, but not regular members.

I’m pretty sure a regular sticky was intended …

who took them all?

Though some may be personal, each collection I clicked on (which wasn’t all albums) were formal promotional pictures issued by the hotels. Note to editor: Santana Beach Resort pictures should be marked with the comment that the hotel is no longer. Years ago now it became the Gran Bahia Principe La Romana so a new traveler could be misled and look for this hotel with a travel agent.

Picasaweb is a good choice. GPS detail and camera info too.

Right. It seems everything was moved July 12, 2011. See reply #8.

Oh, and some editing is required on the photo links. Only the first two work. I can’t get at them, so this is a job for our editor. Por favor.

Thanks wud. But only the first two ‘special links’ work.
DR Tourist TV – Streaming Video of Resorts and ResortDVD.com don’t work.
We can’t get at them. Only the editor can.

edit: come to think of it, a lot of the photo links are no longer active either.

Of the first 6 I looked at, 4 didn’t work …

We don’t have access to the main site. Only Zee and any one on his staff with access privileges can get on there. I know some of my photos are no longer even there. For example, some of my photos were on GeoCities and that site no longer exists. Yahoo pulled the plug quite some time ago.

It’s going to be a lot of work for someone to go through and sort out which links are bad, and either correct or delete them.

Thanks for letting me know this! I will take look and sort out what links do not work anymore and try to make it much better. Debbie do you have your photos somewhere on-line such as picasa album on-line or?

I took a quick run through the list looking for “my” photos. All the links appear to work except the one for Natura Park which references GeoCities. That no longer exists and the photos would have been ancient anyways. That link can be deleted.
