![]() I never been in El Salvador but it is nice to learn about it. Can you tell us more about safety as I know it is not same see things on TV and Interned and when someone like you lived there and we can get first hand info. When you first time went to El Salvador and why you decided to stay there? There is many other countries in Central America but you are in El Salvador. Tell us more please when you get a chance. Wow, this New Debbies is sure different than the old + a refreshing change from other travel forums! ![]() I shall answer your questions a bit later as time allows. Just a quick note on safety, which is a relative thing. There are areas of Oshawa ON, Ontario’s ‘Motor City’ population 100,000+ that I wouldn’t venture into at 2:00AM, same with San Salvador. In my local area I feel as safe as I ever did at home in rural ON/QC with just my big suck of a dog who barks at night if a rabbit, possum or person nears my property. One only has to use common sense. |

Dave, this is the new Debbie’s.
An extra thanks to you for your help on our sister Forum, foruncuba.com, where newer travellers, many from Europe, have profited from your knowledge and patience. Good for you. |

![]() An extra thanks to you for your help on our sister Forum, foruncuba.com, where newer travellers, many from Europe, have profited from your knowledge and patience. Good for you. Now that I see that the new owner is really serious about making Debbies a major player for real travel information for travellers not worried about "the dust on lampshades", I will try to keep anti Canada my rants to the off topic forum (may need the odd prod LOL) and stick to useful advise on the maim forum. |
