Hello! There’s so much great info here on transportation that I thought I’d ask: Does anyone have experience or information on making connections on Viazul? We’re going to be in Cuba for a very short visit (8 days) but we really want to see Baracoa. Our plan was to go from Santa Clara (where we arrive) straight to Baracoa via Santiago. On our return we would do the same except Santiago – Trinidad. This gives 30 minute bus transfer windows in Santiago. Is this possible with reservations? Should we plan to take a private taxi for the Santiago-Baracoa legs instead? So far Viazul’s only response has been that you have to be there 30 minutes before the bus leaves. I’ve seen conflicting information on how fast processing is when you’ve prebooked, as well as the punctuality, and I’m cognisant that the roads still may not be fully recovered after last year’s hurricane.

When I purchased tickets online I never had issues 20 or 30 min before my trip as well they mentioned on the website:
Viazul’s online reservations are guaranteed whenever the client makes the payment through our website.
I believe there is Viazul bus going Havana Baracoa should that bus pass through Santa Clara? If you can jump into that bus you do not have to think about catching another bus in Santiago.
