We’re also going to the GBAkumal on Nov 20th. Anything I should know? This will be our first time there although have been south of Playa del Carmen before. Special places to eat? things we should look for (in a favorable way?) |

| We just came back at the end of November. I was a little disappointed in this resort after having stayed at a much more reasonable resort in the Mayan before. The beach was very rocky but it seemed better at the Tulum end of the resort. We also found that we liked the pools better at Tulum, but then that is personal opinion. We were in the bungalos right on the beach across from the internet/bar/lobby. Snack bar right next to that so it was very handy.We went to 5 of the restaurants while we were there besides the buffet and actually enjoyed the buffet the most. We had no problems with the food and the majority was very good.The lounge in the main lobby had super entertainment. There was a young girl that sang and she had a beautiful voice. It was a great place to go and enjoy the company of others without being drowned out by noise and there was a dance floor if the music moved you!!!
