Hello there: Haven’t been to Jamaica in over 30 years (Trelawny Beach at the time) but am hoping to head to Jamaica mid May for a long weekend (4 night stay) for our 30th wedding anniversary. I’ve found fairly good deals for both Grand Palladium and Riu Montego Bay (which is just abit cheaper). I’d rather be closer to the airport so as not to waste too much time travelling on that short holiday.I have read through a few pages of this forum but would love to hear some recent comments on either resort. My husband and I do love to snorkle off the resort so that is important. Also, my husband is a walker and although the beaches do not seem long here, I guess he could do his "walking" through the resort ? (the Palladium seems quite large). With the Palladium there seem to be 2 resorts side by side. Not sure which one I found my "deal" with. Does it really matter which side you stay on? Can you use all the facililties and restaurants no matter where you are? I’d love to know this kind of info. Are there mini bars in the rooms at either resort? Thanks in advance. |
