From our arrival, we were very impressed by this hotel. You are greeted by hotel staff outside. The decor is lovely. It is an older building with gorgeous decor, all beautiful dark wood; very tastefully done. The staff are very attentive and efficient. The restaurant is inside but you feel like you are outside; it kind of has a European feel to it but still the tropical feel of Costa Rica. The food is excellent. The rooms are very nice, luxurious with very comfortable beds. They let us keep our luggage at the hotel while we went to Tortuguero for three nights; we did not want to carry too much for the three days. There is a computer for customer use in the main lobby and wi-fi in the room. It is not right on the main street in downtown, but very close; we walked in about 10 min or so. We had a great experience at this hotel and will stay there again when we return to San Jose.
