Have you found Paradise?? | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

Just wondering outloud, have you settled on the spot you love most yet?? Or still have wanderlust ?? I know some of us keep an eye on the Horizon , you know, adventures still ahead, or are you getting a bit tired of making the choices ? If I had my way , Iberostar Varedero , but my wife, as much as she loves it , still yearns for other exotic locales. I’ve got a little time to waste , so I thought why not? Whatdya think??

Maybe this has been done already ,If so Excuse me !

Just having some fun !

Our "Heaven on Earth" is Cayo Guillermo, Cuba. We will travel to different locales but will always return to Cayo Guillermo
You know I read this, this morning and I have been tossing it around. And I have come to the conclusion that I cannot decide!

There are many places that I have yet to see, so I have yet to decide. The best I can come up with is…My Paradise is under the water. I have so many notches to make in my belt yet that I can’t make the choice yet.

As much as I hate to do it, I have to agree with the Deputy on this one. There are still many places I haven’t seen, so I can’t say "A"-"B"-"C" or "D" would be mu favorite. "BUT" if I had to pick one for now, it would have to be Mexico (Bahia Principe Tulum). It is the goodest place we have visited and has the bestest food by far. (I’m going to put my spell-check over the edge soon)

I live in paradise… Til winter hits Then …any place warm ,without 4 feet of snow,is paradise

What do you think Jake?

As much as I love Panama, I would say that Paradise to me was Nicaragua, at the Barcelo Montelimar. Such beautiful sunsets every evening.

We’ve been there twice, when there were package deals going out of Toronto. I am sure we would go back if they offered them again.

My first time to SAI (San Andres Island) was in April and now I have the fever for SAI (and I’ve been to a lot of destinations/resorts. My paradise is SAI.

Bigred……..that island in your icon, looks very much like a little place known as Heaven or more commonly known as "CAPE BRETON ISLAND"…..which happens to be very near and dear to many of us. Once you have traveled the roads and met the people of this island, you too will know what we mean. Thanks for the reminder Bigred,

Jake, eh

Jake you are welcome BY ;)… It is called Margaree Island ,a lil Island off Cape Breton Island…. and I agree heaven..Shhhh lets keep it a secret… with a bit of luck I will be watching a sunset from there soon

anyone else find paradise?

Everytime I go on a trip south I think I’ve found Paradise. Until the next trip…then I think I’ve found it again
But, so far I guess it would be Cayo Guillermo, Cuba

We thought Secrets Capri was Paradise…… until we went to Excellence Mayan Riviera. Excellence = Eden

I have to second Bigred as far as living in paradise…clearly not the same as his her’s but another slice of Canadian paradise. We head south for a few weeks, in January, to escape the liquid sunshine we are overly blessed with during the winter ;). Having been to many places in the Caribbean either land holidays or cruises, we have found a place we are thrilled to return to year after year: Breezes Jibacoa, Cuba. Cayo Largo,Cuba is right along side it but too much of a hassle to get to from the West Coast (I had to modify and throw in shots of my two pieces of paradise)

My paradise I call home (my thanks to photographer..great photo)

My "found" paradise…view from our balcony:

Hey steffiej, seeing as bigred and I are both from the Isle of Cape Breton, she and I will always be partial to "The Mother Land" ;). I have to agree with you about Cuba, it is a beautiful place to visit "but" I just can’t do the food there :'(. They have the most beautiful beaches and the people were fantastic, but as I have said time and time again, without good food, I can’t see me leaving Mexico to return to Cuba :-/.
I really love the "If you’re lucky enough to be at the beach you’re lucky enough" :D, it’s what we all strive for Jake, eh

Jake who needs food when you have a nice beach in winter I could go just about anywhere warm in winter…Bring a jar of peanut butter ;D

Steffiej… I may have a deep voice,but last I looked i was female ;D

lol, now I’m all "red". I don’t know why I made that assumption. In my mind’s eye, when I hear Big Red I think shaggy dog ;D or a lumberjack type guy with red hair and beard packing a big axe over his shoulder. So, I’ll scrub that image and replace it with an image of Ann Margaret…much more flattering to you as she’s the first gorgeous red head who comes to mind

OMG… thankx for that belly laugh… I just spit green tea all over my screen ;D ;D what a hoot… although I may have Red whiskers ;D

Oh my that was funny… maybe I am called Big Red cause I blush easily…hmmmm I shall never tell

Between Bigred and steffiej there is quite a bit of green tea flying around :D, you two cracked me up "rite-some-good" ;D. Although I have to admit, the idea of "Bigred the Lumberjack" does sound like a sight to be seen on a beach in Mexico 8-)……as long as I’m far away, so I don’t spit my Tequila

Jake, eh

I’ll take Big Red the Lumberjack on a beach any day over 2 naked guys jogging down the beach :o….now that’ll mar any visions of paradise. Maybe that’s why I’ve never returned to Cayo Largo
