Hedonism II Reviews – Jamaica Hotels – Hedonism II

First time we have gone to an Adult’s Only resort and we can’t wait to go again.

Your Arrival:
The bus ride from Montego Bay was about 1 1/2 hrs but there was a "refreshment stop", so it was not bad at all. At the resort we had to line up at the desk to check in. There was only two staff on and it seemed to take for ever, and there was some confusion with the paper work, but overall, it was ok. Our baggage was taken to our room for us.

Rooms: We had what was called an "ocean view" room. Cost a little more and I must say I would not do that again. You are hardly in your room at all. So book a garden view (basic) room and it is just as good. The room itself was smaller than some resorts, but very clean and well kept. Bathroom is small but makes for a "cozy" time. Showers are great. Shower head and wall jets. Very nice.

There were tiny bugs around the sink area in the bathroom, but they were not a problem. We did find that if you were not out of the room when the cleaning staff came by, that you may not get your towels changed, or room done. But hunt the cleaning staff down and they are more than happy to help. They sprayed some kind of "fog" around sunset,(we assumed for insect control) and it smelled like diesel fumes and hung around the room. But dissippated after about 1/2 hour.

Restaurants and Bars:
The main buffet is great. Not a five star choice, but we didn’t care. It was all very good. The Japanese rest. was fantastic. We did not sample the Italian rest but friends told us it was excellant. The bars were typical of any Carribean all inclusive resort. The time you waitied to be served depended on how many people were thirsty. There were lots of wasps around the bars at the tops of the bottles, so be prepared. No one got stung as far as we know.

Beach/Pools/Grounds: ALl the beaches, grounds and pools are very clean and constantly maintained by staff.

They strongly suggest to going into the ocean after dark because of the possibility of jelly fish. Good advice as we had a few friends get stung.

Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
Lots of tours are offered. Some quite a distance away so plan accordingly. The staff is what makes this place and they are a blast. The nightly entertainment is second to none. And the theme nights were a blast.

Other Comments: We went towards the end of "lifestyles" week.

As it was our first time, we did not know what to expect, but the other vacationers are all open minded and easy going. No pressure or unwanted advances and you can feel comfortable being as open or private as you want. Our only problem was on our last night at the hot tub, there were more "single" men than couples, and that kind of took away the "sexual energy" that we had felt from the previous nights.
