Well, after plenty of searching for a last minute vacation we have settled on La Ceiba, Honduras. It was a hard decision not to return to Cuba, but any deals out there were snapped up quickly and we tried to avoid resort where the "reading week" kids wouldn’t be interested in going. Learned a few lessons in trip planning this year. So, we are off with an open mind and out of this minus 30 weather !

thanks wossa. i’ve read alot of what you have written and i’m anxious to get going. Hubby is excited about diving and we’ll get over to Rotan (hopefully) and check out the dive spots. So much to do, or not !!! Will put up a review when I get back.

How was your trip to La Ceiba? We lived in Trujillo for 4 years and are looking to relocate from the U.S. to Playa Real near La Ceiba. Do you know anything about that resort and the villas that they sell? Have you gone diving at the World Heritage site on Cayos Cachino, another one of the Bay Island and the closest to La Ceiba?
