We had a wonderful stay in The Mascotte in Remedios. The building and rooms are spacious and newly renovated. The old style is still there. De staff was more than friendly, very charming ladies. We had a room overlooking the square, which was very nice.

Cuba is a wonderful place to visit and it was my first time in this country, one of the best Caribbean countries I have been to, such amazing and lovely people always trying to get to know you. I visited Remedios and was looking for a place to say and a friend suggested I stayed in this Hotel Mascotte and it wasn’t that bad, I mean it was great for the price and the value was great. The location was the first reason I chose this place because it is located right on the main square of the city. I had problem of noisy area because the streets were usually busy and there are always people going about their normal businesses. The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable and relaxing, it had a balcony opening to the streets or square but it was great. The staff was nice but they were too relaxed at their jobs, I think it’s because there were not many guests but I expected more from them. While having a drinks and eating at the bar, I usually engage in some discussions with the staff that were very relaxed and wanted to discuss as well. The location is good when it comes to having access to other parts of town but I didn’t like the noise, food was great and service rendered by the staff was okay but not professional. The hotel is beautiful with fantastic breakfast and I recommend it to couples since I got this intimate vibe from the restaurant.
