How to avoid getting bad hotel reviews | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

Looks like the Broadway Hotel on Burlington Road West, Blackpool, England is a scary dump in more ways than one. However, 36GBP for a double room with carpark sounds like the bottom of the heap to me.

Whether the place is a dump or not wasn’t the issue. I’ll guess that the owners/managers already know their establishment is less than desirable. Why else would they levy a "fine" on previous guests for posting a bad review and actually have a statement to that effect in their contracts? Is it even legal to do this? I’d be after my credit card company to reverse such charges!

I think this should really be considered an "unfair trading practice." But in the meantime, until the Trading Standards investigation is complete, it’s probably a good idea to read the fine print when you check in.I agree, if it happened to me, I would be after my credit card company to reverse it, I would tell my travel agent, and anybody else that would listen.

And if it is such a dump, the owners should be expecting bad reviews… Sounds like they were.
