We just got back from the Riu Palace Bavaro. I think there is something for everyone. We had a group of 8 adults (18-60) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

These are only of the activity pool area (and bar) that we were at during the day. There is one photo that shows the lunch buffet which is next to the pool. And obviously the pool area at night. These are from my phone. My wife took many more with her phone. When she downloads them then I can show more.
