We left march 2 and returned march 9th. Traveled with wife and kids of 10and 16. In general, st.Kitts is a small island with the people being very polite and pleasant. No night life, it’s really to relax, another beach.
We rate it a 3 because there are no shows at night and it can tend to be long doing nothing after supper.
Arrival:
Arrival at st.Kitts was good. Customs went quickly.very polite employees at customs. Short distance from airport to hotel.
Rooms:
We stayed at the hotel and not at another block. Clean and cozy, the rooms were well kept and maintained. Accommodates north American voltage. Has all amenities you need.
Restaurants and Bars: It was an all inclusive package. However, only breakfast was buffet. The rest of the meals were sit downs. This was at first not what we wanted, but it turned out to be be one of the best meals we had in the Caribbean. Must try the steakhouse,it’s great! As well, the Italian and fish restaurant are good.
If you are always hungry, there’s 24 hour service.
Beach/Pools/Grounds:
Facing the Atlantic coast, waves were present. Kids loved this part of jumping waves. Beach was clean. The hotel was very well maintained. Staff was polite and helpful. Local monkeys were also spotted at the resort which was fun to see. The pools were clean and there was 3 pools in all.
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
No night activities at the resort.it’s really to relax. We visited basseterre and it was OK but nothing special to see. Prices for souvenirs are just as good as the hotel boutique.
Other Comments: We travel every year down at the caribbean islands and st.Kitts was a nice place to visit. Don’t go for nightlife, it’s really to relax and enjoy a peaceful time. We went as a family ( wife and 2 boys of 10 and 16) and they all enjoyed their stay.
Best memory: kittian people are friendly and proud people.
