Can someone recommend suitable hotel for a solo traveller(female early 40’s)? I am not looking for a party hotel with 16 year olds getting drunk but I don’t want to be completely surrounded with honeymooners and seniors all week either. I am looking to spend no more than about $1000-$1200 for the package(leaving from Toronto).Thank you Veronika, I think you’ve already eliminated the fear of a "party" resort with 16 year olds by deciding to go to the Mayan Riviera rather than a resort in Cancun. Cancun is known for it’s party atmosphere.I suggest you go to escapes.ca or itravel2000.com and use the search feature for your planned date and destination. Both of these sites have a best price calendar which gives an overview of the entire month or week by week. Once you’ve zeroed in on resorts in your price range, read the reviews to further narrow it down.I’m reluctant to make any specific resort suggestions without knowing what your interests might be;- example, snorkeling, sightseeing, shopping, etc. Off the top of my head though, I’d be inclined to suggest resorts near Playa del Carmen. |
