A Canadian Press story dated November 11th reports that "Bermuda’s top judge has given the green light to a judicial review in the 10-year old unsolved murder case of a Belleville, Ont. teenager in Bermuda.""Quinte West, Ont. radio station CJTN reports Bermuda’s Chief Justice Richard Ground has allowed the review into a decision not to consider fresh charges in the death of Rebecca Middleton.""She was on vacation in Bermuda in 1996 when she and a friend accepted a motorcycle ride home from three men while waiting in vain for a taxi.""The 17-year old was found hours later raped, sodomized and stabbed and cut 35 times, and was dead by the time paramedics arrived.""Kirk Mundy, then 21, claimed to have consensual sex with Middleton and blamed co-accused Justis Smith, then 17, for the killing. Mundy pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact, and was sentenced to five years in prison.""No one has been convicted of Middleton’s murder."
