It sure seems more then a little odd that it has taken over three weeks to get a review posted. Not only in this forum but also in the D.R. Forum many many members have not had their reviews posted. However this , we are told is due to the new ownership, but since we are not allowed to criticize the Mods or owners I guess most of us will just have to wait and see just how long it will take to get posted. Maybe after several months it JUST might get posted or when the new management finds the time to look after his members. I’m sure this would never ever happen if the previous owner, Debbie, was still here to post our reviews. Seems like posting our reviews is just a huge waste of time IMHO |

| Let’s give ’em time to adjust. I see reviews from lots of countries. More than before?The Cuba and DR reviews are sparse though.Maybe some volunteers are needed for a "temp" job posting reviews.

| Posting of the reviews has nothing to do with the moderators. We simply moderate the forum and the owner of the forum posts the reviews.I will PM Eddie again today and ask where the reviews are and when they will be posted.

Of course I’m sure we are all aware that the mods. have nothing to do with the reviews. However I’m also sure they, the mods., are also well aware that any resort can change in a couple of weeks so therefore it would seem such a waste of our time if the reviews are not posted within a few weeks and not in a months time. To much at the resorts could and probably have changed there to make our reviews seem accurate. IMHO of course. I for one who has sent in well over one hundred reviews in the past about many resorts in many countries will not be doing that anymore as it might get posted who knows when. My time is valuable also |

I will however post in other forums where it seems I and I’m sure others will be more appreciated for sending them our reviews. Such a shame that it has to come to this. If the excuse was that time was needed to sort everything out then the owner should have realized just what he has gotten himself into. Oh well his lose not mine |

You will be able to read about my last two reviews in the other two forums as I’m sure they will be posted within a day or two at the very latest. My late father wrote most of the reviews, was a mod. in the D.R. Forum, but I did help him write many of them myself. |

| I have PM’d the new owner about the review and that is about all I can do at this time.I am sure every forum member does appreciate the time and effort every one puts into writing the reviews and we all learn a lot from reading them.If posting the reviews was one of my duties here as a Mod, I certainly would have posted them as soon as I received them.The Mods here on Debbie’s do not see the reviews until they are posted on the forum. We have no way of accessing them prior to being posted.Stills….. , I am sorry you feel that way about submitting further reviews here on Debbie’s. There is a PM button here for all members to use if you want to contact the new owner directly. I do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused any forum members. | HiI see some you have been getting worried about the delays in review postings…and it’s great to see you take such interest.Here’s a quick update:With the Caribbean reviews, we’re fully up to date so as of today the Caribbean Reviews are published within 24hrs as before.With the DR reviews, we’re still working through the backlog and as of coming Monday we’ll also be publishing the Dominican reviews within 24hrs.
If by any chance your reviews have not be posted, please kindly resend them to [email protected] and we’ll have the up by Monday. Note that the tecnical set up of the websites is such, that publishing the reviews right now is a very manual process. One of the things we will be doing in the coming months is to automate the review posting process, altough we will continue to manually check every review before it’s posted, but at least the tecnical part will be a lot faster.Thanks and please drop me a PM if you have any questions, suggestions.Greetings from Havana.Eddie |

my review is now posted. Thanks to Freedom Ryder for letting Eddie know how important it is to the Debbies posters that their reviews be posted quickly and I am sure this was just part of the change over. There are always some gliches when someone new cames on the scene. |

I didn’t pm you, but I did pm Eddy. My review has not been posted. Ironically, it’s the first time I’ve used the handy dandy online form, so I have no record of it. And I’m disinclined to go to the trouble of writing another, so if it’s disappeared into cyberspace I guess that’s the end of the story. (and I bet there are quite a few more in that category…..not everyone who writes a review is on this forum) Too bad! Most people are not happy when their effort is wasted…. |
