Big rooms, surprisingly not as noisy as expected, bearing in mind its tightly-populated district, reasonable value on agency rate, restaurant the main let-down, and cheeky bell-boy implying that a ten dollar tip would be appreciated! The location, on the edge of Havana’s old town, is the real attraction. The Malecon is within walking distance, as are many plazas and decent restaurants. WiFi would be a definite plus – one PC with scratch card codes for internet is an unnecessarily antiquated system, even bearing in mind the limits of connectivity in Cuba.
Rooms:
Spacious, reasonably clean, AC worked all right, safe in room, sense of privacy
Restaurants and Bars:
Disappointing
Other Comments:
Staff a little on the officious side, but nothing too outrageous!
