Panama Travel Information and Reviews – Panama hotels, deals, vacations, flights and travel tips

Pacific Panama joins South and Central America. It borders Costa Rica to the west and Colombia to the east. At its narrowest point it is only 50 km wide, but has a 1,690 km coast to the south and a 1,150 km Caribbean coastline on its northern shore. It has flat coastal lowlands and two mountain ranges. Rainforests dominate much of the country. There are two seasons here – the dry season from January to mid-April and the rainy season from mid-April to December, with rainfall being heavier on the Caribbean side. Most of the population of Panama lives on or near the Pacific coast.
