My teenage daughter and I stayed at Hotel Parque Central Torre for 3 nights recently while in Havana. It was a very strange experience…it’s basically the same hotel you’d find in New York or Toronto plopped down in Havana. This is both its blessing and curse. It is not the least bit "quaint". However, it is very nice if you can get past the surreal feeling. We were on the 9th floor and had a glorious view of the Bacardi building. The room was large and spotless, and the furnishings and amenities were top shelf. The only strange part was the shower in the bathroom, which was open to the tub and also seemed to leak uncontrollably due to a rather glaring design issue, leaving the surrounding floor soaking wet. Annoying but not exactly a critical issue. The rooftop pool was very nice, although rather crowded at times, and the breakfast buffet was fine (although the coffee was disappointing, I’ve got to say). Hint: there is a little shop across the street from the older part of the hotel (same side of the street as the Hotel Inglaterra) where you can buy water for about .75CUC instead of 3CUC at the hotel!

The hotel is situated in a great location so no arguments there, I really loved the location and it was easy for me to find. From my floor, you could get a view of the Barcardi building so it was an amazing sight to behold. The best thing about this hotel is the fact that everything in the rooms were super modern, I mean from the quiet air condition to the furnishing, it was really great. The hotel has a rooftop pool which was the best thing I loved about the hotel, it was so much fun for me, with the views and everything, and you should totally visit this place whenever you are in town. It is a nice spot to go if you want to sunbath or just relax and the poolside service was excellent. I recommend this hotel if you want comfort with wonderful view and great service from nice staff members. The hotel area is generally quiet so is the reception area and basically the entire hotel which is very important for me as I wanted a quiet holiday. Their food is good based on Cuban standard but I feel like the restaurants are slightly overpriced. The buffet breakfast was great, nice system and choices of meal and the portion was very plenty I should add. I got a very professional service from the staff of the hotel so I will be coming back because they offer good value for your money and everything is top notch.
