Best Kept Affordable Aruba Secret! A short drive off the main hotel strip is the incredibly clean/modern apartment complex. With the money you save on this room, you can rent a car and explore the diversity of the entire island. Better than being held captive at an expensive casino resort! The complex has approximately 40 studios & apartments with full cooking facilities, clean pool, laundry facilities and the most incredibly helpful, accommodating staff.
We were looking for a 4 night stay to fill our time between cruise and flight. Typically, we choose NOT to stay in large, American style hotels. Too expensive plus they usually lack local flavour. Might as well stick to Florida if that’s what you are after. Found this place on the web.(www.vacationspot.com) To book the room, you wire money to their bank account. Being a little wary, we contacted Aruba Tourism in Canada and concluded that this is an accepted way of doing business for small operations who don’t accept credit cards.
Aruba is a charming and interesting place to vacation with a flavour of Dutch and Spanish. Arid climate caused by the lack of mountains – clouds just blow right over. Sand dunes, snorkelling, windsurfing, white sand beaches, shopping and casinos. So, rent a 4X4 and drive! As you may have heard, the road signs are nearly non-existent, but you are there to discover a new adventure. Don’t forget to try the Aruban cream liquer.
