Antigua and Barbuda – Readers Travel Tips

December 2001 Amanda I went to Antigua in 2000 as my friends were getting married. Here are my tips for Antigua … * Try and avoid hiring taxis as they can prove to be very expensive – Try the local transport – the prices are a lot more reasonable. * If you need things like toiletries, groceries go to the local supermarkets (not the ones on the complexes) as they can be a lot cheaper. * Shirley Heights is well worth a visit – drinks and food are expensive but not overly * The glass bottom boat trip is great as they take you to a lovely snorkelling area I hope that this makes sense.
