Very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.Best value for money experienced.Great beach, darker waters but clean. Liked the waves. The pools were great and there was always somewhere to go to get that special spot. There is an adults only pool too. Food was so so but more than adequate and we never went hungry – some was pretty good.BEST OF ALL:- All restaurants were non-smoking, rooms were non-smoking and the entertainment area was non-smoking. Suppose this is the new Mexico way……..wohoooooooooooooo…The Eagle Has Landed !!!!!!!!!Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Will be back later this year. |

Thought I might add my opinion. Nassau is a lot more expensive than Jamaica or Mexico and I question the value for money. Nassau is clean and modern and very Westernized. Even the locals are just like us North Americans in culture – as per our experience. Due to close proximity to USA you will find the resorts prices will reflect what you find in USA or Canada for that matter. Catch the local transport downtown and wonder around – it feels very safe and is quite pleasurable. The ferry from Nassau to Paradise Island is great with a charismatic tour guide on the boat – great characters.Paradise Island, quite impressive but is a concrete jungle with all its buildings and water features, but the pools have nice shade whereas the beaches have none. Too much concrete and while great for families, we would not go there. We are 2 older adults who want adults only resorts. This is too much like a ‘Disney Land/World’ holiday – some may want this though.
All in all, it is worth visiting to experience what it is like, but I do not think they get the type of repeat business they would like. Too much smoking on this Island for my liking, including in the resorts – very off putting

Visited April 2008. Very nice property especially their Island Cay – a must if you want to go somewhere quite and relax. We were very disappointed overall though. Public toilet often blocked, sometimes food was great and at times awful. They did not implement their smoking policy and for a non-smoker this was a killer. We were not told the whole truth about the smoking policy when we booked. The rooms were great and there were many great areas of the property to explore. 2 great pools with swim up bars. Great property but not a great experience, in contrast – Their Montego Bay Sandals property, no where near as grandeur but our stays were always great. Mo’Bay has a great spirit. We will not visit this property again due the smoking problem and there is much better value for money elsewhere. Smokers would obviously not be concerned. We have visited 4 Sandals properties and we rate this the worst and Mo’Bay the best. |

That will be safe and secure if it is the same one I am thinking of. On the while Nassau is very safe, but I wouldn’t wonder around at night just for the fear of the unknown. Day trips to Nassau on the #10 bus to Nassau is $1 and $3 for the ferry across the harbor. All safe as we experienced.
