Planning a trip to St Maarten for next Sep. This will be our first time there and staying in a timeshare on Cupecoy Bay Beach. First question is this, I know Sep can be a gamble but what is the weather really like during this time? Also power requirements, american or european? Most of my other questions have been answered by reading this forum such as driving and safety, but still deciding on either the location of Cupecoy Bay beach or Simpson Bay, both timeshares, any advice?

Hi allStill planing a trip down south end of May. Looking at a few spots and need help deciding. Found Grand Pineapple Beach in Long Bay, Antigua and have read mixed reviews, mostly good,Can anyone tell me what the weather is normally like in May, particularly the rain?Is there good snorkeling and scuba in Long Bay?What kind of power outlets, American or European? Are there any worth while excursions? That’s all for now but I’m sure there will be more. Thanks

Mike

Thanks riverbc, it sucks that she has to do school work but not as much if she threw her tuition away becasue she didn’t, bad timing I guess.

Hi, can anyone tell me if the rooms have WiFi acsess, or anywhere on the resort. My wife needs to taker her laptop to do some school work so its important that I find this out.

Thanks riverbc, heading there in exactly 1 week, can’t wait. I will be snorkeling with those local, sans spear guns of course. Can you comment on the ala cartes? we are real big on ala cartes, always find plenty at the buffets but it is nice to try them out once or twice. Also do all the rooms have a mini fridge?

Hi candida, I exchange my money at the airport before leaving Canada. I know Vancouver airport has 3 or 4 money exchange kiosks that are open 24 hrs. Have never exchanged it at the Cancun airport.

OK, going to Catalonia Playa Moroma Apr 7, does anyone know of good to great snorkling spots in the area that you don’t have to sign up for a tour to go. Stayed at the Cat Yuccatan last year and had great snorkeling right in front of the resort but that doesn’t seem to be the case with CPM, unless I’m wrong. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Also at CPM is there time restrictions put on the boogie boards?

In the past we have exchanged our CDN at the airport before leaving. We exchange about 200 CDN for whatever that buys in Pesos. We use that for tips and small purchases. If we need cash while down there we have used the ATM at the resort or in PDC. Have also used my credit card to book excursions at the hotel and at restaurants in towm with no problems.

Hi, going to Playa Beginning of Apr, stayed at the Cat Yucatan last year and absolutely loved it. Big snorkeling fan here. This year we are divided between going there again or to the Cat Maroma. Can anyone tell me what that one is like, especially stuff like snorkeling. Thanks

Hi all
Planning on going to Playa April 7, is that to soon after the Easter weekend? I understand that the easter weekend is a huge holiday for Mexico, and not that I have anything against big crowds but I’m going there to relax.

Thanks Bubbletoes
Great review, took alot away from that. One question I have, do you know if there is a place to catch a collectivo close by, plan on going to both PDC and Xel-Ha?

Hi, staying at the Catalonia Yucatan Apr 15 to 22. Looking for info and tips on this place. Also looking for any info on the Jungle Discovery tour, the one with the ATV’s and zip lines.
