Is Nassau expensive??? We are going down to Nassau in about ten days and spending a week there. We do not have an all-inclusive. We are staying at the Wyndham Crystal Palace Casino. What are the prices like for food and spending an evening out? Is it ridiculous like the upscale part of Cancun, or comparable to San Juan, Puerto Rico????

WHAT DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT GAY TRAVEL TO MONTEGO BAY??? WHAT HOTELS MAY BE MORE GAY FRIENDLY THAN OTHERS. WE ARE LOOKING AT THE HOLIDAY INN SUNSPREE RESORT OR THE SUNSET.

It seems though, that tourism is increasing in Haiti. There are investors in the Jacmel area looking into a mega resort. A company recently opened-up a hotel in Jacmel, the former Club Med has re-opened as the Club Indigo, Vacation Packages are now being sold to Haiti, Spirit Airlines has begun flying there. Just wait, Haiti is coming back to the Caribbean tourist market. I really think it is.

Well, if there’s a country in need of tourism dollars, it’s Haiti. The country of Haiti has not had a regular tourist market in nearly 20 years. Haiti is a very interesting, mysterioius, and intriguing place to vacation. We have been going in and out of that country since 1989 and are still here to talk about it. I know that this forum says no commerical posting, but this link that I am going to add is for travelers who may want to consider a vacation in Haiti.

I found travel in Haiti somewhat difficult due to the constant lack of tourist facilities. The best places to stay at are in the town of Petionville, which is about seven miles outside of the capital. Check out the hotels , the El Rancho Hotel and the Villa Creole.

yes, I have been on vacation several times in the past ten years to Haiti, The best places to stay are in Petioville, either of these three, Hotel Montana, El Rancho Hotel and Casino or the Villa Creole. In January of 2007, we spent 11 days in Jacmel at the Jacmelienne, hotel not good, Jacmel fun and friendly. JAMES DALPHONSE

Is Bonaire considered to be a very expensive place to vacation in?

ok, we have all heard the Natalee Holloway story more times than we are to count. And yes, it is an unfortunate occurance for the Holloway and Twitty family, along with Aruba. However, what touristy type activities are there to do and/or sites to see in Aruba. I already know the most obvious, beaches, casinos, booze, etc. Thank you.
