We used Royal last time and had great service. We plan to use them each trip now. If you book for longer than 5 days they give you a cell phone and all you have to do is buy the minutes on a calling card. They have an office at the airport, the very end to the left. We were in and out within a few minutes..which was great with two small kids!

Have you considered doing a Modified plan (I think that is what is called) where two meals are included for the day? There are so many excellent restaurants in Aruba, you really need to try at least a few….El Gaucho (the best Argentine steak you will EVER have!) and Twinkletones, and others that have already been mentioned. You really can go as cheap as you like, there are several fast food restaurants within a short driving distance (some within walking distance). Divi use to be the only true AI on the island with snacks (ice cream, hot sandwiches, and wonderful pizza) anytime of the day or night. The last time we were in Aruba we stayed at the Wyndham and did the modified plan…worked great for us. Enjoy! |

The best shopping areas are behind the mall in downtown. Jewelry, Gold Palace is the best! Their prices are always adjustable. You can also find some souvenirs at decent prices along the back streets.
If you are going to rent a car, the best snorkeling spot we have ever found is right above the high rise section going toward the light house. You will see some black rocks jutted out into the ocean. You just park on the sand on the side of the road, people will probably already be parked there, doing the same thing. The most beautiful fish and star fish ever! There is also the de palm island tour where you will a ton of huge fish, but there are also a ton of people there too. The sunset sails always look nice. There are also many tour companies that take you out to different sites to snorkel. Have fun!
