Do you know what the property was before becoming an Almond Property?
If it was the Wyndam Morgan Bay….I was there about 8 years ago. Very beautiful but NO beach at that time. The rooms were huge and lots of marble. Food was great. Overall I am not a St.Lucia lover. We had a terrible experience. I have been there since on a cruise and we did not even get off the ship. There are very few beaches and what you do see is black sand. We found the island very dirty. It is lush and tropical but there is a lot of garbage and I did not feel safe at all when in the downtown area.Hope this helps.

We have been there and it is beautiful but $$$$$$$$$. A beer and a cocktail was over $20 US and that was 4 years ago. Saw where David Letterman lives (that’s what the driver told us) but Dave didn’t come out and offer us a tour. Boat ride from St. M was a bit rough. A few people made use of the "B" bags on the ferry. We were on a beach and it was about a mile long and there was just my husband and I and 3 other girls farther up. Yes they were totally naked as that is the way it is. NO, we did not partake!
As said earlier, if $$$ are not a worry, GO FOR IT!

if you mean do they supply towels thats a big 10-4. if i remember correctly you sign them out at the beach area each day and you return them each night. be sure they check off your room number as they are not very good with numbers given to them in english. we were just on that beach last week while on a cruise. looks as good as ever. have a great time.

No probs with either at Breezes. Went 2 years ago and loved it. Remember scuba into is free and TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT. We did not do it until the day before we left and wished we had done more of it. There was no limit at the time….space permitting. Take water shoes and wouldn’t hurt for the mugs as well. It is not a fancy new 5 star but it is very clean. You may have a rust stain in your tub but it will be imaculately clean. The food at Jimmy’s Buffet is VERY good. The ala carts were very good but service was a bit slow. Fine if you are into a leisurely meal and that is your entire evening. Overall I would give it a 4. We did a pirate ship snorkel and the jeep safari. Very much enjoyed both. The jeep tour was all day and we saw the windfarm and terra cotta plains. Very cool.
You will enjoy it.

Did anyone happen to see the TV special about Aruba and the dissapearance? Just goes to show how many sides there are to each storey and then there is the truth. I was wondering if the same "boycott of Aruba" attitude by Americans will follow thru to the Canadian issues in Playa del Carmen? We have been to both places and I say it is up to each individual to make their own choices. We must remember we are in a foreign country and they do not always do things the same way we do.

Bottom line is……. be smart, be safe and have some faith. There is good and bad everywhere in the world and sometimes you can be in both at the same time!

Give me a break. Aruba is a beautiful island. I am sorry a young girl lost her life but, unless you are aware of something that the general public is not DON’T PRESUME. Everyday hundred’s of people disappear. I have been to the exact bar she was at and it is a place I would not be in alone. Just common sense. Also why would you go with a stranger? I have no answers to this …all I know is it is not fair to generalize that it is the fault of the island or the government. There are bad people everywhere!!!!!

Just an update to the bridge issue. It is gone. We were there last week.

We had our picture taken underneath it 2 years ago and it is now a pile of rubble. I felt bad for the people on our tour because I had seen it and all they saw was the after effect. What a tragedy. Yet another thing I am glad I witnessed in my lifetime.
