resort maps | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

Where did the really nice and helpful site that had all the resort maps, and much more go. :0( It was a verry useful place to go to see the way the resort orgenise. Please please don’t tel me that you have deleted it. If so where can I find a similar site.

febe, I sure as heck share your frustration! When this website was revamped (to make it new and improved? Not!), a whole lot of stuff was "lost" including some stuff I had worked on for years which was in the FAQ section.

If it’s the resort maps I’m thinking of, you’ll find them by going to www.webshots.com and doing a search under member "maplady"

I know the main website was revamped when they took it over from Debbie, but as far as I know they didn’t change or remove any of the posts in either of the forums. And that’s where the FAQ section would be. Can you identify what’s missing? Maybe their IT people can recover it or tell you where it got moved ….
Bob, I had compiled (and kept updated) an extensive list of Cuban resorts & their electrical configurations along with a blurb about foreign voltage converters & adaptors. It was in the Cuba FAQ but disappeared when the "powers" reverted back to one Cuba forum rather than many area specific subforums. My Varadero restaurant list is still there, but the other is gone. I did post and offered the original in a new thread if the editors felt the info was relevant but since they didn’t reply, I presumed they didn’t want the info or deemed it irrelevant.

Leaving for Mexico tomorrow! I’ll check in when I get back.

That sounds like an extremely useful post. Hopefully the editor will read this, go back and find it (the compilation) and restore it.

Have a great trip.

Sorry to hear about this because, as Bob says, it sounds like an exstremely usefull post"we" didn’t delete it. No idea what happened.

Sorry but I kind of wish the forum had stayed the same. Some times new is not always better than the old. Still come to the site for information but I seam to have a harder time finding what I am looking fore. Like maps and pictures…

Can anyone suggest a site where maps of resorts are listed? I used to have a great one, but the link is gone.

Looking for Cuba resort maps in particualr, but would be nice to have a list of sites with resort maps for all over!

I have no time but it would be nice that we have it here on the forum as well!

years ago there was a maplady or something like that……. but have not seen that for some time

years ago there was a maplady or something like that……. but have not seen that for some time The "maplady" files that the original Debbie’s had were with webshots.comWebshots closed down a couple of years ago. They were taken over but I can’t recall off hand by who.I had many webshots files and was given the opportunity to save and retrieve all of my accounts before the changes.

I personally had many photos from Cuba on webshots and I lost those as well. I used to scan my printed photos and put on webshots

I think you would be well served by the link in reply #8 (oh, interesting, the posts aren’t numbered once I get into the reply page, although I can look at them below my composition. Had to open a new tab to check the reply number!) Lily & Normand do a great job of keeping things up to date, and have wonderful websites highlighting the various areas of Cuba and other places.
