I keep reading about how bad the sand fleas are in Roatan. Are they worse here than say, Cuba? Looking at the Media Luna or Mayan Princess resorts…..hard decision. |

I never had any real problems with sand fleas in Roatan, although we never spent hours at the beach as the majority of time we were diving or on excursions etc. From a personal experience, I can’t say that it was worse than any other area of the Caribbean I have been too.
But you know what it is like, some people seem to get savaged by the bloody things and the person sitting next to you, dosen’t get a single bite ! |

That’s true. I might get a few bites but one year in Cuba….i was covered in them. Very strange. I’ll just keep the oil handy. |
