Selloffs Vancouver to Liberia? | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

I sometimes post on the Cuba branch and know about selloffs to Cuba. Are there any to Costa Rica? I guess it would be to Liberia from Vancouver. Good package or air only? I am hoping to housesit there for several months in the winter and only need to use one way IF the price is right.

No posts at all about selloffs, so does anyone know? It would be the beginning of December which for Cuba, at least, is low season, so I’m hoping…..

I’ve seen sell off prices for Liberia from Vancouver- both air only and all-inclusive packages. We snapped up a well priced package to the Allegro Papagayo a few years ago and were pleased with the price and destination. Only down side of the direct flight was that the flight was non-stop. The stop in Calgary added over an hour to the already long travel time.BTW, have you looked into travelling to Costa Rica from Seattle?

We love Costa Rica! Hope you do too!

The only direct flight from Vancouver (Skyservice charter) is still non-stop – through Calgary, but that is better than going through the US and transferring in Houston or Dallas, imo. But if I am going to throw away the return, it needs to be a great deal. The other option is Vancouver to Miami on points, and then the cheapy Spirit Airlines from there, which may be what I have to end up doing as I don’t think I can really wait until the last minute on this. I have seen the selloffs too, but don’t know what time of year.
I have seen the selloffs too, but don’t know what time of year. We’ve grabbed a well priced sell off for both early December and third week in January.I booked the December trip about 3 weeks prior and the January trip 5 weeks prior to departure, both times with escapes.ca. The Allegro Papagayo package cost around $1000 per person+ taxes (which are now much higher).

Sun Fun Vacations offer some great "independant" or flex travel packages, but I’m not sure which air carrier they use.

I’ve also seen some around mid-November, early December for travel in January. Not sure if this year will be the same, but it’s worth a try.
