It’s been a few years since I was at the Bahia, but I know the villas are more spread out along the resort. By this I mean there are several smaller buildings with maybe a couple dozen rooms in each. At the Barcelo, there a fewer buildings that are larger and hold several hundred rooms. I found the Barcelo easier to learn the layout, and quicker to get to you were going. However, the Bahia did have a tram that guest could catch a ride on if needed.
