I am a travel agent looking for excursions in order to better serve my clients. I found a fantastic one in Playa del Carmen. It is called Mexican tour east, or the snorkel shop. They do full day snorkel excursions. They pick you up at your hotel, then drive you to a under water national park. You go for 2 separate snorkel swims, which are 40 minutes each, followed by a sit down lunch in a restaurant. You are then driven to a cenote, which is an underground well. You swim and trek through unbelievable stalagmites and stalagtites. It was absolutely unreal. After that I was driven back to the hotel and given a disk with all the pictures that Eddie the guide took that day. I think we had about 300+ pictures. We saw Barracuda’s, sting rays as well as a nurse shark, not to mention hundreds of multi colored fish and coral. They cap the groups at around 8-10 people, so it is very personal. Cost was very good. The whole day was $90.00 and that included the disk of pictures. Very worth while excursion!!
