Ticker Factory | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

Hmm they say the mind is the second thing to go Finally decided on a resort , but ding danged if I can remember how to make the ticker work ? Any help would be appreciated ! Remember , it’s a sin to laugh at those who are technologicaly challanged !

Jemik

Go to "ticker factory" or any other online ticker maker site. Choose your ticker and the site will give you a "bb code" you can cut and paste here.Once you have "cut" your bb code, log on to Debbies, go to "modify your profile" and "paste" the bb code into the "signature" box (where you have all the places you have visited).

That’s pretty much it. If you need any more help, just ask.

Um, well I guess you can see the results??

Come on jemik, if Jake can do it trust me you can too ;)….give it another whirl.

Let me say jemik.after spending an afternoon on a beach in Jamaica with Jimmy and a few of his friends :-X…….your idea may be very close to what you think is right. Of course this was many years ago and we have all grown up since then…….

Not really sure how to say this to another guy, but "hey nice ticker, eh" ;D

Jake, eh

Ok Jake I have been to whites lake !

Ok Jake I have been to whites lake ! Been to Whites Lake, but did you make it all the way "Down Town Whites Lake" :o……..were you in the blue or the white car that came through? ;D

Jake, eh

Went swimming there many times as a kid. Been to downtown many times , and once or twice got LOST in the woods !
Went swimming there many times as a kid. Been to downtown many times , and once or twice got LOST in the woods ! Funny you should mention getting lost in the woods……I "think" I got lost once or twice here too. Then again, I’m not really sure I was still here at the time or not ::). I’ve gone swimming here many times myself, but I’m not really sure if I was swimming, or just "breast stroking" ;D ;).

Jake,eh

Are you two going to share your "tales of getting lost in the woods in Downtown White Lakes with the rest of us? With my imagination I can conjure all sorts of scenarios about what you are talking about.

On the other hand, though, this is a Caribbean forum and I don’t think you two are talking about anything that has to do with Caribbean travels, does it?

While swimming and getting lost at WHites Lake, I often dreamed about going to far away exotic carribean destinations !I still Do ( dream that is ) ! So Cuba it is then !! Since we have direct flights this year to Varadero , MAYBE I’ll go twice ;D

Hope that counts as Carribean chatter ! ;D ;D

Hey jemik, at least "we" are comfortable enough in our own skins to only require one ticker (unlike some who feel the urge to flash the world their tickers :-*). We went to Varidaro twice, stayed at the Super Club Varidao both times. Beautiful resort, but I think it is under a new name now ???.

Jake, eh

Are you referring to Superclubs Breezes Varadero under a new name? Where’d you hear that? I had heard they are or have reno’d the place.

Yes Multi-Ticker, I am referring to one in the same. We also stayed at the Superclub in Holgain, maybe it was that one that had the name changed……can’t really remember now, things tend to get kind of blurry after a while (about 15 seconds for me) :D. It would be nice to see it renovated, last time we were there, it was getting a wee bit run down….plumbing problems and just a general "tired look" to the place. It was still a beautiful resort just the same, just tired I guess.

Have you been Muti-Ticker?

Jake, eh

Jake gets confused easily, Breezes Varadero ( was a Superclub Varadero the first time we went and then it was Breezes/Superclub the second time ) then in Holguin it was Breezes Costa Verde that one changed it’s name for sure, think it still has Costa Verde in the name.

Yes, we were there – it seemed "old & tired" back then (2005), and so were some of the staff. Not our favourite resort or destination. But I see that Breezes Bella Costa has a deal on with a Golf Tournament, leaving in the next couple of weeks. ;D That’s tempting!

Hmm, I wonder how our kids would feel if we cancelled the MR trip next week and go to Cuba instead?

Maybe I’ll have to add another tickey-thingy!

I don’t think "confused" is quite the right word for the way Floyd & the Missus poured me into the cab following our second visit to Varadero :D. There wasn’t room for us on the bus headed to the airport, so they sent the "Jake’s" in a cab……..poor cab driver :o. Floyd and I started early in the day, seeing as they were staying an extra week, it was no problem for him, I on the other hand was supposed to catch a flight out that night. Luckily the flight was canceled, they never would have let me on the runway let alone the plane……someone pulled a funny on Jake and made his left leg too long and his right leg seemed to have a permanent roller skate attached to it……round and round, upside down, I saw it all that day :D.

shirleyujest, if you try to support one more tickey-thingy, you’re going to fall over ;).

When we were at Costa Verde, our son (11yrs old) went deep sea fishing with a couple of Mounties we met from Newfoundland. It was comical watching him leave early in the morning walking past the pool area with his plastic bag of sun block, towel and snacks all in one hand and the bottle of rum for the captain of the boat in the other hand. He was "Lil Big Man" after the pool guys saw him going with the bottle. Never too young to star them out in the right direction. Best part was, the captain sold drinks of the rum back to the two Mounties, so everyone had a good time, and our son caught the only fish.Jake, eh
