Two adults, a teenager and a child | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

I’ve been checking out different places in hopes of going on a trip somewhere in the Caribbean next year after the cold weather we had on our Florida trip last week. A lot of the resorts that offer good children’s programs have a max occupancy of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children but they classify anyone over 14 as an adult! What’s with that? What do you do when you have 2 children but one is over 14? I would gladly pay adult price for her but can’t she stay in our room? Yeah, I’ve found some resorts that have a max occupancy of 4, but like I said, some of the ones that I think my children would enjoy most (with water slides or water parks) have a max of 3 – FDR Pebbles, Starfish Tralawny (Jamacia) and Sun Village (DR) just to name a few!

I think your best bet would be to contact a travel agent. They know which resorts can accomidate which types of groups.I usually call the place I want to book with (selloffvacations) and tell them where I want to go (area) and what my group is and they give me a list of places and prices, then I can do my research on each place, pick one, then book.

Good luck!
