Varadero Maps of Hotel locations | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

Hi
I know this has been asked for many times before but I could not locate the hotel maps for the Varadero area and wonder if someone could provide me with the link. Thanks

These are great map sources and I’ll place as a sticky, for now, and then move to the Cuba FAQ board at a later date. Love the Wiki map

Perfect and Brilliant work. You post really great Map and detailing Information about hotel locations in Varadero.
Much appreciate from this post. Nice for sharing this wonderful Information.

Note: The attachment below doesn’t work yet. I have left the attachment here, in case one day we get it to work, but for now, see post #16 below.Cubajunky used to have this map on their site, but it was well out of date last time I was able to find it. I had downloaded a copy of it and started working at updating it. I liked it because it was clear, and I was able to reformat it so that it could be printed out on a single page, with the west end of the peninsula at the top of the page and the east end at the bottom. It still isn’t fully up to date, because I haven’t had the chance to work on it for a while. With the ability to add attachments to a post, I thought I would try posting it here. If this works, I will try to do some more updating, and post a better version when I have it ready. Attachments:

Wiki map is based on Google Earth images, so the dates of some of the images should be as follows:Varadero – most of the peninsula is March 4, 2011. The rest is July 30, 2010. The dividing line is roughly between Cuatro Palmas and Josone Park. The area around Club Bucanero is from November 5, 2011. Cayo Santa Maria is from January 5, 2011.As to who updates the hotel names, and such, well, it is anybody that wants to sign up and add some information. It works much like the travel articles on Trip Advisor. The members do the updates, and it is up to the knowledgeable ones to make sure they stay accurate. The map I posted is still not fully up to date. Most of the updates I have done are out near the end of the peninsula. A few of the hotels in town might need a bit of updating. I will try to get that cleaned up soon.
Thanks for that one. I don’t think it is fully up to date, but it has some better information than my original one, so it will help with some of the updates. Most of the information I have added to the map I posted has come from Google Earth and from Wikimapia so far. I have also gathered a bit of information from reading comments on travel forums, and working out where and what things are from peoples descriptions.

I hope some of what I have done will be useful.

We have had some problems with attachments since the change to the new site, so the map I posted at reply #10 doesn’t come up. I thought I would try showing it a different way. The image below isn’t full size, but if you want to get the full size version, just right click on the picture, and select "Save Image" and save it onto your computer.

I’d just like to add that if anybody sees any changes or errors in that map, please let me know, and I will get it updated. The objective is to have the most current information possible for you.

I have made some updates to the map that was posted in reply #16. Here it is:

As mentioned before, if you want to get the full size image, just right click on the picture, and select "Save Image" and save it onto your computer. Then you can print out a hard copy, if you wish, to take with you on your trip.
