Not sure of the justification of the cost…because it used to be included with your hotel stay! Each year it’s more and more. But in spite of that, I have to say…DO IT! ;D You may be able to hire a photographer locally and pay the daily visitor’s rate for them to come on property but I doubt you’ll save any $. The Sandals policy used to be that you had to have your ceremony on the property for which you are staying…not sure if they’re flexible with that now in consideration of the fees. We did our re-nups 3 years ago (where has the time gone?!) at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios and it was fabulous. We choked up another (gulp) $350 for photos. After hair, flowers and other special incidentals, our checkout bill was over $1000 US but we’d do it again in a heartbeat. There’s just something about Jamaica….
