Just wondered what most people did with their pets when they go away. We used to have a family member or friend stay at our home, but the last few trips we have used a ‘cat’s only’ boarding kennel for our feline family member…(shhh…we tell her it is a ‘kitty spa’ ;)). It is reasonably priced and the owner is very reassuring and trustworthy. So we have no worries when we are relaxing in the sun ![]() |

We are fortunate that we have a family friend that looks at it like a mini vacation for them. They get away from their family for the week, get the use of the house, pool table and hot tub, and we give her a few $$. As a student she really appreciates it almost as much as I appreciate her coming to look after our two dogs, one cat, can’t forget the guinea pig,and fish. |

A co-worker, who is both a cat lover and lives a couple of doors down from me, jumps at the opportunity to kitty-sit my 2 cats. It gives him the chance to get his "cat fix" since his home is cat free because his wife doesn’t like cats or dogs ::). I, inturn, have peace of mind when we leave for 2 weeks. |

One of the kids and a neighbour usually take care of our zoo, but this time we are ALL going so the furry family members must go to a kennel. ![]() |
