What kind of adaptors do I need | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

We are traveling to Varadero staying at the Brisas Del Caribe. It says 220v in the rooms. Do I need adaptors of any sort for my phones or laptop? Hair dryer or straightener?

No problem for most electronics and laptops. Read the voltage on the chargers; most are capable of every voltage between100v-240vThere are hair dryers in the rooms.

Hair Straighteners are a different problem. Considering the cost of a high wattage convertor and the weight of that beast it may be better for you to purchase multi-voltage curlers/straighteners for home + travel. We did. Problem fixed.

As spunky said, no real problems with anything there execept the hair things…which i never had to worry about…lol

But other than that, its smooth sailing….phones, mp3 players, digital cameras etc..

It’s always a good idea to have an adaptor just in case. You can pick one up at Walmart or even at any of the luggage places in the city. If you travel somewhere else in the future, you will have one.
