You can sit on the beach with a cerveza and count the money you have saved .

Dominican would definitely have the best weather b/c its the most south, Holguin part of Cuba is warmer than the other parts during that time of year.

Hannah, I too have agree with the others as far as saving some cash to put towards your "beach drinks" :D, but at the same time, I also have to lean toward the idea of Maya / Playa DC / or even Cozumel 8-). Keep an eye out for the deals, they will be heading our way soon "I HOPE" :D.

Heck, way I figure it, you can maybe take another trip with all the extra money you saved going with the cheapest trip, thats why I am one of those SCOPERS

If my travel friends wouldn’t have been having heart failure last year and finally got me to bust and break down and book, I could have saved another 200.00/usd if I would have waited another 2 weeks to book!

At that rate, and a travel coupon that’s a whole nother last minute one week trip to Cozumel!

Good luck with your decision either way!!!

Deputy ;D

Go for the deals. But when we were in Cuba Cayo Coco/Cayo Guillermo we found it sunny but cold. Don’t forget how close it is to Florida and at that time of year even Florida can be cool.

Yeah, you might find better deals in January, but remember the water is going to be colder, EEEKKSSS!!! Can’t stand that!! If you can be flexible with your dates, move them out a bit and go mid February, water will be warmer and weather will be toasty. If it isn’t you never heard of the Deputy I always think about jumping on a deal buster in january then all i have to do is remember that its down right cold that time of year water temp wise, at least for me.

I like to wait and see what the winds can push up from the South, bring up some nice warm air. So far my travel dates have been bang on. One day out of the past 5 years has been cold, and that was in Jamaica. I actually had to put a sweatshirt on

Happy traveling!

A sweatshirt in Jamaica(?) That’s why you don’t go in February either. That’s why I like going for my "Spring Fling" ;), it marks the end of winter and the darn cold and snow and you are guaranteed "warm weather and sunshine", with no need for the sweatshirts to be packed, which of course leaves more room for "shoes" for those who need a pair for every single occasion ;D ;D.

Although "some people" seem to be able to find it cold even on the warm days "don’t they Deputy" ;).

Jake, eh

" Scopers " get to enjoy the beach more often 8-). It’s never cold on the beach if you have your " honey " and some anti – freeze to keep you warm . " Scopers " don’t mind telling their friends , who were at home shoveling snow, how cold it was in Jan. while they were on the beach. Priceless.

I’ve been to Cayo Largo, Cuba the second week of January twice now, and b/c its at the south end of Cuba, its HOT!!!! Therefore Jamaica being slightly more south it will be warm in Jamaica too!!!!

Dominican would definitely have the best weather b/c its the most south, Holguin part of Cuba is warmer than the other parts during that time of year. This was not the case last January–we were in the DR (Santo Domingo) had pleasant but not overly hot and sunny–a friend of ours was in Cuba (Varadero) same week, and she had hot and sunny all day everyday.Weather is a bit of a crapshot—but always remember it is warmer then Canada!–

Well actaully one year I was in Santa Luica in July and Canada had a heat wave AND get this it was hotter in Canada then Cuba!!!
