Yes, riverbc, I see you (wisely) appreciate Don Julio Anejo. What are your other top 4 or 5 suggestions for me to enjoy among the hundreds of anejo tequilas? |

Baaaaaah! I just noticed in that boozey pic that there’s a bottle of La Pinta pomegranate-infused tequila (red bottle) in the El Jimador row!!! I’m also on a hunt for that this trip so I can replicate Miguel’s pomegranate margaritas (if you’re ever on Isla Mujeres, do NOT miss stopping by Miguel’s Moonlight for one of these FINE concoctions!). Where’d you pick-up the La Pinta, riverbc? Recall what you paid for it by any chance (and if you don’t mind my asking!)? Last year it was not easy to find… |

I’m missing Mexico and Cuba – people ask me which I prefer – and I reply, "which of your children do you love more?" Cuba is like no other place on earth – and Mexico is full of Mexican awesomeness. I want both! But, that being said, I sure am missing my daily visits to the Hacienda Tequila Factory on Fifth Avenue/La Quinta, and taste testing. I am missing the unlimited fresh guacamole and REAL taco chips… and talking to the grey iguanas while they sun themselves or nibble on leaves.Speaking of La Pinta Pomegranate Tequila, at the Duty Free they DID have a 3 pack of the 325 size, in a carton – it was about 25 or so USD. Don’t quote me, I didn’t take a pic – although I have posted elsewhere on this forum about different prices. | |
Another great places for one dollar Coronas is Tequila Town – there was a mariachi band all dressed in white that hung out there, drinking dollar beers. Tequila Town is on Constituyentes, a block "south" (not really sure of the direction) of 5th avenue, as you walk toward the water. Great selection of tequilas and generous sampling policy – be sure to leave a tip as a thank you. They also have a walk-in humidor with Cuban cigars. Check out their selection of tiny tequila bottles – great way to sample some new tequilas. I bought Las Tres Tonos in a red horseshoe bottle for 6 dollars/2 oz and it is WICKED. Would never have fallen in love with it otherwise. |

Hola, I know its been a couple of years but hoping to go back to Mexico in April!! Just wondering where some of you will be going next year? We are hoping to go to the Imperial Valentin or the Grand Palladium. We had so much fun at the Grand Bahia last time we may just decide to go back there:)whats your plan?
Cheers |

still waiting for the AC books to come out but think we have it somewhat narrowed down to Bahia or Barcelo again or looking at the Palladium as we have not been there before. still early days so could be any resort but know it will be Mexico. |

![]() Hey, me too, maybe I’ll see you there. Bye the bye, the new nail bag will carry enough beer to get us to the next "buck-a-beer" Jake, eh |
