Xpu-Ha Palace Reviews – Mexico Hotels – Xpu-Ha Palace

We have stayed here twice. Once before the huricane and once after. It is now 1/4th the original size. The great eco-friendly appeal is still there. It has a staff like all other Palace Resorts meaning caring, considerate, so pleasant, and "can’t do enough for you". The surroundings are jungle and small beach with an aviary, deer park, Flamingo area, gator area, logoon with a manitee, snake house and animal care facitlity. Staff eco folks with on site tours. If you like Cancun concrete and marble, this isn’t your place. If you like relaxing with nature in a 5 star room this is your place. We went as a couple first and then returned with daughter, grandson, and another young couple and son friend of our daughter. All were more than satisfied. All the Palace care in a ideal setting. If you need a Vegas show every night it’s not here but if you like having fun with a small group and the staff entertainment you will be so pleased.

Arrival: Palace check-in with moist fragrant towel and a drink while seated at a desk in a big soft chair. In the room within 15 minutes.

Rooms:
The only problem is no more than three to a room. The rooms are great with bed, jaccuzi, shower, deck with table and chairs with a two person chaise lounge and hammock. We like the upper room as you see right into the trees with birds and animals. 209 and 210 look right down into a cenote next to the deer park.

Restaurants and Bars:
The restaurant is two sided with Mexican/ Italian. Then a snackbar at the pool. They do a great job of making you happy with only two restaurants. Ask for it and they can usually make it for you. The margarita cart id never very far away! Lobby bar is where entertainment happens. It is hokie but fun. There is also a beach bar and a pool bar.

Beach/Pools/Grounds:
The beach is very small due to the hurricane but you can walk to the left at the beach entrance and there is a long beach to use. The pools are kid-friendly. The grounds are so peaceful. The path is wide and easy to walk but you feel like you are deep in the jungle. It’s so quiet and tranquil. There are nature walk areas and guide eco-tours with knowledgeable staff. WIFI works fine everywhere we were.

Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel: Palace has several tours available off site. The cenote on site has snorkling(not many fish but a mother manatee and calf) and kayaking. The beach is great for a cup of coffee watching the sunrise. There is a kids club. The Aventura Palace is near enough for dinner and such. There are 8 or 9 restaurants there. Your Palace wristband gets you there to use everything.

They have spa treatment facilities which the wife a daughter loved.

Other Comments:
Just the greatest relaxation therapy in the world. The only close second is the Palace at Isla Mujres.
