	I like open-air buffet restaurants when I go to Cuba in the winter months, but when I travel in May/June, I don’t like eating in the heat! Can you guys tell me if these resorts have an air-conditioned buffet restaurant:Sol Cayo CocoBlau ColonialTryp Cayo CocoSol Cayo GuillermoIberostar VaraderoIberostar Playa AlamedaTryp PeninsulaBreezes Bella CostaMelia VaraderoThanks!

	The Sol Cayo Guillermo is A/C as is the Playa Alameda Buffet. I guess it’s standard. Most of them also have tables and chairs outside for those who like to eat outside.

	I believe the Tryp Cayo Coco has airbut the doors to the outside dining were always open when we were there and the birds had free reign.One thing I liked about the Tryp’s buffet, that I haven’tyet seen in others, is that they had a microwave

Thanks zendudette! A couple of resorts I’ve visited had open-air buffets (Sol Cayo Largo, Breezes Costa Verde). Since mosquitoes love me, there were a couple of really hot and humid evenings that made for a not very pleasant dining experience!

Anne, have u tried Watkins Deet bug lotion? I usually don’t get nibbled, but my friend is a mosquito magnet and it worked wonders for her.I also use my mum’s secret stuff: Vicks Vaporub! Rubbed generously behind ears, around ankles and knees, it only smells for a few minutes, this dissipates.

Or… you could wear pants after dusk (and a garlic wreath for the bats… KIDDING! :D)

	I heard that Listerine works well, too, to keep mosquitoes away. It seems that the islands are the only place that I’m not a magnet for them, even though I haven’t used anything so far.

	If anyone can name a resort that does not have birds invading the restaurants (horrors!!) I want to hear about it!!! And I may want to go there! TN
