This is a hidden gem; I think it is safe to say that it is one of the city’s best kept secret when it comes to hotels for tourists. I had an amazing experience here at Bahia Estela and the beach made it even more pleasant. This hotel has a spectacular beach side and the grill restaurants offer very delicious fresh foods to the guests. I stayed here in February 2014 on vacation alone and stayed for 6 days. I would have headed for the hills when I read some reviews about this hotel but instead, I tried it out for myself and found out it is an amazing place to relax your head and luggage once in town. I stayed in one of the hotel’s standard rooms and it was great, it was large, clean, tidy and comfortable. It is fully equipped and everything inside of it was working perfectly fine including the air condition. The bathroom was great, spacious and clean with hot water as well. My room had a mini bar which was restocked regularly with drinks, the maids made sure that the rooms were cleaned out daily. The buffet was great as there was so much to select from and they were all delicious. The hotel grounds are clean and well maintained and I hope to come back here again next time. The location is perfect, it’s a small resort that in which you can walk just about 2 minutes from the lobby to the beach. I loved it.
